About me

Growing up in a military family, I witnessed firsthand the impacts of defence and national security policy on the community. Now studying a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Justice, majoring in international business and policy and politics respectively, I am driven to examine what it means for a country to have an ‘effective national security policy’. I am excited to bring a business lens to this exploration in Japan, specifically understanding the role of trade and logistics in developing strategic trade controls for the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction in the Asia-Pacific. Outside of my studies, I have a passion for world history and languages, and I am looking forward to exploring Japan’s cultural history through the study of the Japanese language.
"I want to use this scholarship to learn how I can make foreign policy and international business more accessible to young Australians, whilst also challenging myself with new experiences that will develop me both personally and professionally."
