You could receive up to $15,000 over three years to support you while you complete your undergraduate studies. This financial support is completely flexible, which means you choose how you spend it. Whether you put the funding toward tuition fees, books or living and accommodation expenses, it means you can spend a little more time focused on what matters most – your studies.

 

Overseas travel experiences

After completing high school, you might be thinking – I’d love to explore the world! Well, a key component of the Young Technologists Scholarship is participating in a week-long Disruptive Leaders Program in Asia. Here you’ll gain a better understanding of the global environment and the important role technology plays in facing worldwide challenges. You’ll also get to immerse yourself in different cultures and try new things.

 

Paid internships and mentoring

Throughout your studies you’ll have chance to tap into the Westpac Group network to gain critical work experience and immerse yourself in other learning and development opportunities. No matter what your professional aspirations are, we’ll also be able to pair you with a mentor to help guide you and get you career ready when you graduate.

 

Leadership development opportunities

It’s not just the one-week overseas experience you’ll get to partake in to enhance your leadership skills. You’ll also be invited to attend our Westpac Scholars Summit held in April 2023 in Sydney. At the Summit, you’ll get to hear from industry leaders within Westpac Group and beyond as well as participate in workshops, site visits and much more.

 

Lifelong friendships and networks

As a Young Technologist, you’ll gain membership to the Westpac 100 (W100) Network. Bringing together Scholars across the five program streams Westpac Scholars Trust supports, you’ll get to meet other undergraduates, postgraduates, research students and social innovators leading in their field, many of whom will become your lifelong friends, collaborators and mentors.
