About me

I’ve been in love with tech ever since I played Angry Birds for the first time on my mum’s phone. I grew up in the south‑east of Melbourne and had constant exposure to technology, watching it change and evolve around me. During Year 4, I became especially fond of watching a neon‑orange cat dance on my screen (Scratch), and that’s where I started programming. Since then, it has been one of my biggest hobbies, and I have been learning languages such as Python, C, and Java. Throughout my technological endeavours, I’ve particularly enjoyed security‑related concepts, and one of my major goals is to find a way to incorporate machine learning into security systems to make them self‑adaptive. Outside of tech, I love music, both listening and playing. I play the guitar, drums, and the dhol (a traditional Indian drum), and I’m learning to sing. I also love video games, although it’s been a while since I’ve had enough time to properly commit to one!
This scholarship is an opportunity for me to bring my ideas to life. By connecting me to many other young, skilled Australians in tech, the Westpac Scholarship will give me a platform to experiment with machine learning in cybersecurity systems and possibly change what cybersecurity looks like in Australian organisations.
