Meet our scholars

Growing up on the Gold Coast near places like Lamington National Park, I’ve always been passionate about all things nature. Seeing our forests shrinking and habitats losing biodiversity, I’m determined that society must find ways for people, technology, and the environment to coexist in harmony. While there are many things I’m interested in studying, I’ve currently decided on a double degree in Engineering and IT, as I enjoy making things and solving problems. Computers and technology/engineering have always greatly interested me—especially programming, due to the limitless possibilities of what you can create—and I’m very interested in learning more about digital privacy and cybersecurity in an age where our personal data is being collected everywhere at unprecedented rates. Some other things about me: I love board games, photography, playing the piano, reading, hiking, and modern history and politics.
