About me
Growing up, I was surrounded by video games and driven by a deep curiosity for the stories they told. That early exposure inspired me to create interactive narratives of my own, using media to express a wider range of lived experiences. I’m passionate about championing the life‑changing power of representation, ensuring people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities feel recognised and accepted. Meaningful representation in games can help young people accept themselves, while also inviting the broader world to embrace change. I hope my legacy will be one of accessibility, hope and inspiration, particularly for young people like me, so they don’t feel out of place for not fitting into traditional social structures. I feel a strong sense of purpose about this future career and plan to draw on the Westpac Scholars community to develop the IT and leadership skills I need to succeed and create meaningful impact. Stories have long been one of the most powerful drivers of change, and I want my work to contribute to that tradition.
Outside of this goal, I enjoy immersing myself in technology and visual media, from playing, watching and analysing video games and films to experimenting with new creative projects. I also love writing poetry and academic reports on topics I care about, along with hands‑on crafts such as sewing and knitting.
Through my study of Computer Science and Creative Industries, I hope to use my scholarship to collaborate with other like-minded computer scientists and game designers to create games and stories to foster social inclusion and bring people together for a better Australia.
