About me
Having lived in different places around the world, I’ve seen that people share the same hopes: to feel connected and care for the places they call home. Living and interning in Fiji has shown me how deeply social and environmental challenges are intertwined, and how rarely one can be addressed without the other. As a law and marine science student at the University of Tasmania, I’m driven to work at the intersection of these disciplines. I’m passionate about ensuring policy is informed by science and shaped by the communities it affects, rather than imposed from the top down.
My vision is to establish a conservation centre in the Asia-Pacific region that works alongside local communities, integrates their knowledge, and combines science and ecotourism to support sustainable livelihoods and ocean resilience.
The ocean and the people who rely on it are extremely resilient when supported in the right ways. Shaped by my strong connection to nature, I’m driven to work alongside communities most affected by climate change. This Fellowship will help me build the regional understanding and relationships needed to create a lasting impact.
