About me

Growing up in an international backpacker town and frequently having foreign exchange students live with my family shaped my early exposure to cultural exchange and desire to learn about the world. At 16, I travelled overseas alone for the first time on a six-month cultural exchange to Italy. Immersing myself in everyday Italian life deepened my appreciation for different perspectives and strengthened my commitment to meaningful cross-cultural connection. This foundation led me to pursue studies in Politics and Law at the University of Sydney, where I developed a strong interest in public policy, justice, and international engagement. These interests were further shaped through my New Colombo Plan experiences in Malaysia and Taiwan, where studying and interning in Asia reinforced my aspiration to build a career at the intersection of law, policy, and regional cooperation. Outside of this, I love to travel, try new foods and play Gaelic football.
The Westpac Australia-Asia Fellowship will enable me to deepen my cultural understanding and on-the-ground engagement across the Asia-Pacific, strengthening the regional insight that underpins my studies in law and politics. I am also excited about the community and being part of a cohort that shares a drive to shape Australia’s future in meaningful, globally engaged ways.
