About me

I am a motivated and enthusiastic fourth year Arts/Law student at the University of Sydney, majoring in economics. My ambitions to pursue a career in the Asia-Pacific were shaped by my 2025 semester exchange at Peking University, where I formed friendships with students from around the world, developed my communication skills, and studied comparative international monetary policy. I am fascinated by how development trajectories differ across countries. Through the Westpac Australia-Asia Fellowship, I hope to strengthen my understanding of the diverse economies of Australia’s neighbours. I am also passionate about climate change, and the ongoing difficulty of coordinating international legal frameworks that ensure we meet global challenges while allowing emerging economies to pursue growth. I believe building strong personal relationships between individuals and organisations across borders is central to fostering the long-term nation-to-nation cooperation required today. Outside of these interests, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, spending time with my family, and at the beach!
I believe cross-cultural experiences are critical to ensuring an informed and empathetic approach is taken to Australia's relationships with our Asia-Pacific neighbours. I hope to return with a deeper understanding of how to foster cooperation and mutual growth in our shared region.
