About me
Growing up in Melbourne as a third generation Korean-Australian, I deeply appreciated how my community nurtured my connection to Asia. From cooking with my family on Seollal to dancing to "Gangnam Style" with my mates at the school disco, I have experienced first-hand how strengthening Australian-Asian relations has directly facilitated the celebration of our Asian communities' rich multicultural diversity. I am excited to engage with the intellectual property landscape for medical and genetic technology between Asia and Australia upon graduating from my Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Biomedical Science degrees at Monash University. I strongly believe that sharing ideas and facilitating inspiring innovative thinking with Asian countries is imperative for achieving equitable and sustainable health outcomes. Outside of this, I love travelling with my trusty camera, reading all kinds of books, and playing the ukulele!
The Westpac Australia-Asia Fellowship provides the unique opportunity to make lifelong friends with people who come from diverse backgrounds, fields, and interests, but are united in their spirit of life-long learning and making a positive impact to our community. I aspire to contribute to this community of pioneers in the context of medical technology innovation and the Australia-Asia intellectual property landscape.
