About me

I grew up as the granddaughter and daughter of Australian farmers, in a family where hard work, responsibility and community were part of everyday life. That upbringing shaped my resilience and belief in contributing to something larger than myself. As a teenager, I joined the Australian Air Force Cadets, developing a strong sense of service and collaborative leadership. Through Rotary’s Youth Leadership Awards program and later as a Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment facilitator, I saw how powerful it can be to create spaces where people feel heard and confident in their potential. I am studying International Aid and Counter-Terrorism, driven by a commitment to strengthening cooperation and stability in the Asia-Pacific. During a semester exchange in Indonesia, I interned with SOS Children’s Villages, gaining practical insight into community-led development and cross-cultural partnership. I hope to contribute to Australia’s regional engagement in ways that build trust, resilience and enduring collaboration. Outside my studies, I enjoy surfing, hiking and following Australian politics.
My studies complement my desire to strengthen cooperation and stability in the Asia–Pacific by supporting community-led development and building lasting partnerships between Australia and our region. The Westpac Australia-Asia Fellowship is a fantastic opportunity to link my semester exchange experience with ongoing regional engagement, so it’s not just a one-off experience, but a foundation for sustained impact. I’m excited by the chance to learn from others who are committed to creating practical, positive change for the future.
