About me
Studying Computer Science and Media&Culture Studies at UNSW and on exchange has allowed me to explore not only how technologies are built, but how they impact diverse communities. I have been involved in making secondary technology education more accessible for underrepresented groups for more than seven years, continuing this work while studying and working across Asia. In Hong Kong, I contributed to public AI education programs for secondary students, while in Japan I worked on sociotechnical research examining public perceptions of emerging AI and robotics technologies. Whether I'm embarking on road trips to teach programming in regional NSW or designing and delivering AI explainers for high schoolers at my university, I believe a sustainable technological future requires education for all, and I am committed to supporting those who need it. In my spare time, I enjoy reading sci-fi and making art that imagines not so dystopian futures.
Understanding and engaging with the diverse technology ecosystems in Asia, especially in human facing fields like education, will equip me with the knowledge to make a greater difference in technology outreach and education in Australia.
