About me

I am an actuary focused on understanding and projecting the emerging risks that climate change and population ageing pose to health systems, with particular attention to how these risks are distributed across different communities. My past experience working in the private sector exposed me to sophisticated approaches to managing financial risk and motivated me to explore how similar approaches might be used to better understand risks to human wellbeing. Building on this, I transitioned my career toward research that integrates actuarial methods, healthy ageing insights, and climate science to inform resilient and equitable health system planning. My objective is to contribute to a more resilient and inclusive health system by enhancing vulnerability measurement and improving demand forecasting. Outside of my research, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and getting outdoors, whether for a hike or a trip to the beach.
Between climate change and an ageing population, Australia’s health system is facing some of its greatest risks. My research focuses on understanding these challenges and projecting future healthcare demand so we can plan a health system that is resilient, inclusive, and prepared.
