About me

Every Australian deserves dignity, and yet the journey for those navigating dementia can often feel like the individual is lost behind the diagnosis. I believe technology is the essential catalyst for changing this, allowing us to see the person beyond the label and deliver care that is scalable without losing its focus on the individual. My journey began when volunteering at aged care homes during the pandemic: an experience that inspired me to translate local impact into a solution for every Australian. In my PhD, I aim to leverage deep learning to integrate complex data sources to predict neurodegenerative trajectories and optimise care delivery. When not doing research, I’m passionate about designing and delivering fun statistics lessons for university students. Otherwise, I am almost certainly banging away at my drums, cuddled up with a book, or painting portraits of dear friends at my easel!
The Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship is the engine that empowers me to translate my frontline experiences into a national framework for dementia support. It provides the platform to show that technology, when used thoughtfully, actually makes us more human, not less. It is the key to amplifying our capacity to care for one another on a truly national scale.
