An inclusive country

About me

I’ve always been fascinated by the brain – that the most complex object known to humankind sits quietly inside our heads. What struck me just as strongly, however, is how easily something can go wrong. My work is driven by a desire to help create a healthier Australia where everyone can recover fully from neurological injury, regardless of background. My PhD project focuses on developing a novel stroke therapy using brain stimulation, and exploring how this approach can improve blood flow and help the brain clear toxic waste. Through innovation and collaboration, I aim to increase access to effective stroke treatments and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive health system. Alongside research, I’m passionate about teaching, mentoring, and making science accessible through communication and outreach. Outside the lab, I enjoy staying active by swimming, running, and playing Just Dance.
My vision is to help create a more inclusive Australia, where stroke treatment access and outcomes are not governed by postcode or privilege. The ability to use my skillset to not just advance science within our nation, but advance equity, greatly excites me.
