Meet our scholars

I co-own 16 Yards, an organisation that supports young people with justice system experience to step into leadership and drive change through mentoring and identity transformation. My own background - shaped by family violence, street violence, and addiction - informs how I understand this work and how I support people operating in complex environments. At 16 Yards, I work alongside young people who are now stepping into lived experience leadership. They help design and deliver our training, service design, and mentoring, and they play a central role in supporting other young people who are in, or at risk of entering the system. Their insight, direction, and presence strengthen the quality of our work and help communities recognise their value. My focus is grounded in collaboration and building partnerships that produce real outcomes - the kind that shift mindsets, create direction, and open space for young people to build meaningful futures.
