About me
Growing up in regional Queensland, I have seen firsthand the digital divide within Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific community. Through my volunteering and paid position at an Australian not-for-profit, LiteHaus International, I have had the privilege of helping these disadvantaged communities connect to today's ever-changing digital landscape. Through charitable donations of end-of-life devices, mainly from businesses, I have saved thousands of devices from landfill across Australia within my two years of volunteering. Apart from my work at LiteHaus, I plan to pursue a career in software development, particularly in simulation development. I believe this specialisation is a perfect fit for me, as it combines my love for mathematics with my hobby of software development. Simulations are critical for validating the feasibility of emerging technologies in Australia, especially in sustainable power generation, an area in which regional Queensland—and the entire state—are well-positioned to invest.
"Through this scholarship, I intend to further my studies in Mathematics and IT to deepen my interests in simulation technology and the sustainability of Australia's emerging technologies."
