Meet our scholars

I am studying a Bachelor of Design – International at the Queensland University of Technology, and I am passionate about fashion, innovative materials, and inclusive design. The intersections of cultural tradition, history, and innovative technology in Japan fascinate me, and I hope to apply the skills I learn during my exchange to advance cross-cultural collaborations between Australia and Asia. As a first-generation immigrant to Australia, I draw strength from my parents' resilience, which fuels my commitment to being an inclusive and ethical designer. I aspire to become a thought leader in sustainable fashion and material innovation, using my expertise to drive systemic change through advocacy for sustainability policies and ethical practices, as well as mentoring emerging designers in both regions. I love networking and hope to build connections between Japan and Australia, across varying disciplines and fields, to design the sustainable solutions of tomorrow.
